21st Century

Doncho Donchev presents his latest satirical project of 21 detailed playing cards /88x63cm/ with some of the most prominent politicians on the world stage. Politics is a game in which we can find all the human passions. The perception of world leaders is contradictory, so each of them is drawn in two different ways. The playing card is very favorable for such a drawing because it can be seen on both sides and have two different emotional states of the character. This is an antipode of feelings and aspirations. Aces from a deck of cards point to the great problems of humanity. The project is built on the contrast, the author does not take sides, but only shows public opinion and differences.
